a brief intro to life long passion

they say there is only room for one true passion in life. how wrong are they!

making jewelry discovered me at my early ears. i was 8-9ish and the only toys i wanted to play with were in my father's tool box: a chase hammer, a set of round nose pliers and wire crimper. there were others, of course that appeal to me, but those three were the embodiment of true german craftsmanship--so slick and smooth, they practically become an extension to your own fingers when you hold the handle...

the first material i used was office paper clips. the process begins with straightening the clip into a straight wire, making it soft and pliable enough to bend the metal into any shape i desire. earrings, necklaces, bracelets. belts, hair bonnets, rings. everyone i knew had a piece of wire jewelry from me that once was a simple piece of office supply.
